We’re practical bitches- I mean witches. We aren’t afraid to mix magic and the mundane because we know you can’t have one without the other. We love signs from nature- we embrace omens, using talismans, and “telling it like it is”. We abide by the creed “harm none and do what ye will”, unless we have to protect ourselves- in those cases we aren’t above a return to sender spell. Our goal is to be benevolent forces of nature, like all the cherished grandmothers before us, while sharing our “everyday scared” experiences with you. We hope that listening to our stories evokes feelings of kinship and inspiration to live your life magically in the material world- and that in hearing our stories you realize you aren’t the only weird one out there enjoying the universe’s jokes and surviving its trials. This week your favorite fellow wisewomen get real about all things " Empath".
Wednesday asks Willow in an interview style for candid accounts of her experiences as an Empath, how she learned to understand the gift, and what some of her mishaps were along the way. We formed this episode to clear the air( much in the same spirit as the "Stupid witches" and Hecate episodes) because we were concerned about how much fluff and misinformation was being touted about this particular ability.
To clear the air we made sure to explain what burdens empaths carry, what the symptoms of such a gift may look like, how it shows up in balanced and unbalanced forms, and coping mechanisms that Willow has used to keep herself and her spirit balanced and clear. We were also careful to explain how the gift has evolved as Willow has grown both as a person and over the span of time/experience. This particular gift can appear differently depending on how much life experience and growth a person has had exposure to. Whether you think you might be an empath, or you just have a curiousity because its been so hyped up, this episode will inform you from an authentic point of view that doesn't sugar coat a damned thing about this anything but glamorous ability.
